Open Floor is a practice of Embodiment Dance or Mindful Movement. It’s an invitation to resource yourself through movement, exploration and learning and to live an embodied life.

Conscious Dance & Insight Meditation

In these Open Floor morning workshops you are invited to explore what it is to step out of auto pilot and to inhabit your body, and your life, with greater presence, connection and heart. During times of stress our default mode is often to take fight or flight, or even shut down in order to feel safe. We often cut ourselves off from our bodies’ innate capacity to self regulate and rebalance.

In these workshops Paula combines her training in Open Floor Conscious Dance & Insight Meditation. You are invited to meet yourself just as you are, without judgement, whether vulnerable, fierce, shaky or strong. Inviting curiosity and friendliness, and with the support of music – we explore ways of resourcing ourselves and coming back into connection and balance through mindful movement and mindful awareness practices.

Sunday Soul a Morning of Moving Meditation

When: Sun Feb 15th, Sun March 15th, Sunday April 12th,

Venue: Studio Eleven, Main Street, Boyle

Time: 10am – 12.15 noon

Sunday Soul is an invitation to pause, and through a moving meditation find a greater stillness within. This morning of embodied dance and movement meditation feel like a prayer to me, a time to invite full expression of your body, heart and mind through the dance, and allow the quiet whisper of the soul. Together we enter a cycle of conscious dance, connecting with ourselves and within community, we continue our practice into the rhythm of walking & sitting meditation. Listening within the pause – connecting to the earth as we walk, rediscovering our flow as we dance. There’s time for a cup of tea and connection within circle at the end of our practice.

No previous dance experience is needed, really, all are welcome.
