8 week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course (MBSR)

Learns skills to cope and live better with pain, stress and illness.

This eight week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course is an evidence based educational training in mindfulness. It consists of eight weekly 2.5 hr classes and a day of practice. The course is based on the work of Dr Jon Kabat Zinn, The University of Massachusetts Medical School.

The course trains participants in both formal and informal mindfulness techniques. These techniques can be applied to everyday life, to help cope and live better with pain, stress and illness.

The course includes:

Guided instruction in mindfulness meditation
Gentle stretching and mindful yoga
Group discussions aimed at working more skillfully with stress and developing awareness in all aspects of life. 
Daily home assignments
